Zynga Poker
Zynga
Zynga Poker was an interesting project to work on - as one of Zynga’s longest-running titles, it had a large audience that had very different expectations than others I had experience with. With a huge number of new and updated features planned for each year, it was a big challenge to keep them fresh while also maintaining familiar patterns that players could quickly understand.
As part of a small but efficient team, I had the opportunity to work closely with several designers and engineers. My main role was to take the design documents provided by game design and translate them into wireframes and prototypes to cover a variety of user flows and identify potential design improvements or edge-cases. Once the UX elements were approved, I’d use a combination of new and existing art assets to create UI assets that would be used for the feature or game mode. Zynga Poker has a very specific style, and it was a great exercise to match it!
Translated game design feature documents into wireframes and interactive prototypes
Created high-fidelity mockups and animated prototypes to demonstrate potential VFX and motion graphics
Designed and produced high-quality visuals and branding elements to promote new features and game modes
Oversaw the UX/UI development for several features, including the Omaha game mode, Suits progression, and Slot Machine minigame
